First Sight Showcase

The First Sight Showcase is a selling showcase situated in the entrance hall of Hove Museum featuring 6 exhibition slots a year.

Work is chosen from up and coming makers, including recent graduates from the Southern and South East Arts region. Each exhibitor gives a talk or workshop to accompany their exhibition.

Two British Basketmakers 5 February to 30 March 2008 Dominic Parette makes baskets using traditional materials and Tracie Murchison uses paper and silk to construct vessel and basket forms.

Jewellery, Boxes and Bags 1 April to 25 May 2008 Clara Vichi's fine silver and brass calligraphic jewellery, and Linda Marie Young who makes cutwork boxes and bags inspired by floral imagery.
